Company Overview

Established in 1990 Essex Country and Village Homes have built their business on strong traditional values of service and a deep understanding of the many unique challenges faced by potential sellers and landlords. In these years the company has evolved in line with many significant changes to the property market including notable changes in the habits of potential buyers in this internet age and the company has shown the tenacity to maintain its market position through two recessions.

Today we continue hold a significant market share of properties for sale in our unique catchment area and you will find us at Thorpe-le-Soken, Frinton-on-Sea and (from December 2014) in the heart of Manningtree’s conservation area. Whilst some agents adopt an on-line model, we know that our clients still value the face to face consultancy and localised expertise that our high street office locations provide.

Over the last 25 years, we have helped many individuals from all kinds of backgrounds achieve their property needs. The type of clients who we assist is extremely diverse and is constantly evolving. From individual owners to corporate clients (repossessions and acquisitions), property developers, retirement complexes and land agents, our business is as much about the people as it is the property and it speaks volumes that we consistently secure repeat and recommended business.

For buyers we simply offer the largest portfolio of properties available for sale in our unique catchment area spanning North Essex and Suffolk. We are a member of the team association of Estate Agents and buyers will find every single property from every single team agent across the country available for sale or let in our offices and on our website. Additional services such as Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s), mortgage advice, surveying, conveyancing, project management and removals ensure that we are well positioned to provide all of the fundamental services a buyer and seller requires, in-house. We will manage the entire process from first appointment to key handover efficiently through our committed and experienced sales progression team.

Sellers can be assured that our attention to detail, our collective knowledge of the marketplace and the extensive marketing of their properties results in maximising the exposure of their property to potential home buyers and tenants. Being a member of team plays a large part in what we do and when we list a property the details are immediately available with fellow team agents throughout our network. Locally in Essex, East Anglia and London there are over 70 offices that we work with and this arrangement runs deep into the heart of London working alongside regional offices based throughout the UK. Being part of the team network of estate agents means that our sellers get the marketing coverage of multiple independent estate agents all for a sole agency fee. We find that together, everyone achieves more.

A generous percentage of our applicant database at any given time stems from the London area and its suburbs as, historically, this is an important commuting, retirement and recreational destination for London buyers looking for that idyllic country life. Our website EssexCountryHomes.com receives on average over 3,000 unique visits per month with a demographic searching from London, looking for all types of property from Country Estates to buy to let investments, consistently in excess of 40%.

We recognise that in this day and age utilising extensive online marketing helps maximise enquiries and our coverage online is consistent and comprehensive. You will find us advertising on the top internet property portals (for buyer searches) and our distinctive homes receive additional coverage by being listed on team's own distinctive home website.

Our terms and conditions are flexible to each individual’s needs and our estate agent fees offer value for money considering the power of our marketing. We are confident in what we do so we see no reason to tie our clients into lengthy exclusivity periods which can contribute to an estate agent resting on their laurels with plenty of time for the property to sell itself. Despite requiring only seven days written notice to terminate our agreement with you, we retain a very healthy percentage of our business because of our personal and accountable service.
